About the museum
The only museum in Bergen dedicated to trolls and Norwegian folklore. Located in the heart of the city, our museum blends handcrafted artistry with modern technology to create a truly magical experience for visitors of all ages.
Step into the enchanting world of Norwegian fairy tales, legends, and folklore, brought to life with great care and passion by our talented artists and craftspeople.
Our audio guide is designed to let you explore the museum at your own pace and choose how deeply you want to dive into the stories behind each exhibit. Translated into 11 languages, the audio guide is included in the price of admission.
Families with children can enjoy exploring the museum through a fun and engaging treasure hunt, while our youngest visitors are sure to be captivated by the museum’s interactive play area.
Recommended visit duration: 1–1.5 hours.
What to expect
Our museum consists of 5 areas: Norse Mythology, The Hall of Trolls, Activity Hall, Huldrefolket, and Hidden Beneath the Waves. We also have a dedicated game room and a small library.
A spectacular combination of art, fairy tales, and modern technologies awaits you. To get acquainted with all the installations, test our games, and take full advantage of augmented reality and other technologies at a leisurely pace, you will need about two hours.

The technological aspects of the museum complement the art and stories we present and provide a new spin on old folklore. With the use of our touch screens, you will be able to fully immerse yourself in myths and legends like never before.
